The Park has seen many uses over the centuries, ranging from 18<sup>th<\/sup> century sports ground to cattle market to wartime depot, and is fondly remembered by its long-term residents. However, many of Islington\u2019s non-native born residents know nothing of this background.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Hotrod worked with the Islington Museum and local community groups to identify the storylines that resonated with modern audiences and which could be conveyed using a variety of text-light or text-free media. The final mix of proposals include ambient soundscapes, \u2018talking\u2019 historical characters on granite plinths, artist\u2019s impressions of historical views and an ambitious high-resolution \u2018gigapixel\u2019 panorama from the top of the Clock Tower.<\/p>\n<p>The project featured extensive collaboration with the architect team as building designs were adapted to meet local concerns.
